We visualize the number of times AL and BNP have won in each of the 300 seats during the 1991-2008 general elections.

If change in the 'seat winner' party matches with the change in the 'election winner' party, we declare the seat as a 'swing' seat. Here, we count how many times a seat has been a 'swing' seat.

Percentage of votes each major party has received out of the total registered voters. This vote percentage is different from the usual percentage which is calculated out of total valid votes casted (turnout).

Analysis of close contest wins and losses for the big parties. Close contests are considered where the vote difference % of top 2 candidates are less than 10%.
